I'm starting this year of with one hell of a pick up, the BAIT x ASICS Gel Lyte III BASICS Model-001 Vanquish. These shits is straight fire son. They came in on a saturday, the mailman rarely delivers on a saturday so it felt like one big surprise after 3 long weeks of waiting. Immediately opened the box and shared it with fellow sneakerheads on instagram. I never thought I would buy a shoe with camo on it, it always seemed a little wack to me, until these came out. The rich black and vivid red balance out very well with the softly saturated camo pattern. I woke up early on a cold and windy sunday and observed the weather for a bit, assuring myself that there wouldn't be any rain. I had to hurry up, first light is the best light. The scenery had to fit the shoe, and the first thing that came to my mind was the dike. It was the perfect place to shoot, not too busy, enough space to move around and a nice place to sit down and relax after shooting without being bothered by pedestrians.
After an hour or so I couldn't even hold my camera properly due to the finger freezing weather. I placed the Asics on slippery rocks, right in front of the restless water. I really moved around the shoe to figure out how the shoe was going to look from a certain angle. I was wearing my Roshe Runs, ain't no such thing as adhesion when you're wearing Roshe runs on top of slippery rocks, I'll tell you that. To make the situation even worse the wind began to blow even harder, and the splashing water came closer. The struggle was real, but worth it. Now, that's enough reading for today, let's get visual. Have a look at the photographs I took and see how the black rocks with a touch of green moss complement the color scheme on the BAIT x Asics gel lyte III Vanquish.
