I often hop on a train without a destination, I just get out when I feel like getting out. So yesterday I ended up in Nijmegen after a trip of an hour and a half. So, I arrived and had no idea what to do in Nijmegen, or "Nimma" as the rappers from Nijmegen call it. I'm a sneakerhead so the first thing that came to my mind was to search for some shops. Googled 2 shops and started walking towards the center of the city. My first stop was at the 247 store, right next to the Premium Supply Store. Very good vibe at the shop, nicely decorated, the right music, and a very wide selection of sneakers and clothing. Since the two shops are fused together I directly walked into the Premuim Supply Store. I recently purchased a pair of Nikes so I didn't buy anything.
After that I just strolled around the city and came across a couple of records shops. The shop owner was a very old and friendly woman, the type of woman who listens to the beatles. instinctively I started crate digging, wich is HipHop term for picking out old records to sample (I don't produce music tho). HipHop producers like Madlib & J Dilla (together Jaylib) are one of the most respected and talented crate diggers ever. After a while of going trough random records I moved over to the Hiphop section. I searched for my favorite Records, Madvillainy, The Unseen, Operation Doomsday and many more but I didn't find them. Just when I wanted to leave something drew my attention.. I saw a Canvas Public Enemy Patch In the corner of my eye. I took it, bought it, thanked the lady and left Nijmegen.
